Quality and Safety Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Quality and Safety Policy is to ensure that all products marketed, distributed, and sold under our brand name meet the highest standards of quality, safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- Banana powder and banana-based products manufactured directly or through approved manufacturing facilities.
- Products manufactured by third-party vendors under our brand name (private label / outsourced manufacturing).
- All stages of business operations including sourcing, manufacturing, packaging, storage, logistics, e-commerce sales, postal delivery, and exports.
- Sales to retail customers and wholesalers in India and international markets.
3. Quality Commitment
We are committed to:
- Delivering safe, hygienic, and high-quality food products that consistently meet customer expectations.
- Complying with all applicable food safety laws, regulations, and standards, including FSSAI (India) and relevant international food safety regulations for exports.
- Maintaining transparency, traceability, and accountability across the supply chain.
- Continual improvement of quality management systems and operational processes.
4. Product Quality Standards
- All products shall be manufactured using approved raw materials that meet defined quality specifications.
- Banana powder / flour shall be produced using hygienic processing methods to preserve nutritional value, taste, and safety.
- Banana flavour products intended for milk shall comply with food additive and flavouring regulations.
- Outsourced products (chips, cookies, juices, oils, rajgira products) shall be manufactured only by approved vendors who follow documented quality and food safety practices.
- Finished products shall be checked for packaging integrity, labelling accuracy, shelf life, and storage conditions.
5. Vendor and Outsourced Manufacturing Control
- All third-party manufacturers shall be evaluated and approved before onboarding.
- Vendors must comply with applicable food safety standards.
- Written agreements shall define quality requirements, specifications, hygiene standards, and compliance responsibilities.
- Periodic audits, inspections, or quality reviews shall be conducted to ensure continued compliance.
6. Food Safety and Hygiene
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) shall be followed.
- Products shall be protected from contamination, adulteration, and damage during manufacturing, storage, and transportation.
- Packaging materials shall be food-grade and suitable for maintaining product safety and freshness.
- Storage and transportation conditions shall ensure appropriate temperature, moisture, and handling controls as required for each product.
7. Traceability and Recall
- Batch-level traceability shall be maintained for all products, including outsourced products.
- Records shall be maintained for raw material sourcing, production, packaging, and distribution.
- In the event of a quality or safety issue, an effective recall and withdrawal procedure shall be implemented promptly to protect consumers.
8. Sales, Delivery, and E-commerce Safety
- Products sold through the e-commerce website using Razorpay and other payment systems shall follow secure transaction practices.
- Packaging for postal and courier delivery shall ensure product safety during transit.
- Customer complaints related to quality and safety shall be recorded, investigated, and resolved promptly.
9. Consumer Communication and Promotion
- All product information, labels, and promotional notifications shall be truthful, clear, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Health, nutritional, and usage claims shall be supported by valid information and approvals where required.
- Promotional communication systems shall respect consumer consent and data protection norms.
10. Training and Awareness
- Employees and associates involved in quality control, sourcing, and distribution shall be trained in quality and food safety requirements.
- Awareness of hygiene, product handling, and customer safety shall be promoted throughout the organization.
11. Continuous Improvement
- Quality objectives shall be reviewed periodically.
- Feedback from customers, wholesalers, and partners shall be used to improve products and processes.
- This policy shall be reviewed and updated regularly to align with regulatory changes and business expansion.
